Legendary venue that opened in 1964 on the Sunset Strip. The Doors were a resident band here. Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Oasis all played on this stage. The venue is still active with concerts almost every night. In 1993, Van Halen scheduled a surprise show, but the news leaked to local radio stations that morning. Within hours, between 3,000 and 10,000 fans completely packed Sunset Boulevard.
