The Story

Legendary venue that opened in 1964 on the Sunset Strip. The Doors were a resident band here. Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Oasis played on this stage. The venue is still active with concerts almost every night. On March 3, 1993, Van Halen played a unique show to celebrate 15 years since being discovered there. Over a thousand fans gathered outside, trying to get one of the few available tickets, in a scene that brought Sunset Boulevard to a standstill.
