The Story
The most famous outdoor amphitheater in the United States, opened in 1922. The Beatles played here in 1964 and 1965 to hysterical crowds. Jimi Hendrix performed in 1967. With a capacity of about 17,500 people and its iconic shell-shaped acoustic design, it is one of the most cinematic stages in the world. Billie Eilish's 2021 concert film for Disney+ was recorded here.
