This legendary concert venue, located at the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Crescent Heights Boulevard in West Hollywood, was one of the most influential clubs in the Los Angeles music scene between the 1970s and early 1980s. The space served as a crucial hub for glam rock, the emergence of punk rock, and the explosion of heavy metal in California, acting as a springboard for bands like Van Halen, Mötley Crüe, The Runaways, and Quiet Riot. It also hosted the first Los Angeles shows for international acts such as The Police and Judas Priest. Plagued by disputes with neighbors and local authorities due to noise and disturbances, the venue closed its doors in 1981 and the original building was demolished.
