The Story

The outdoor amphitheater within Griffith Park opened in 1930, with a capacity of 5,900 people. Surrounded by trees and with the Hollywood skyline in the background, it is considered one of Los Angeles' most beautiful venues. Elton John and Thom Yorke (in a solo show) have given memorable performances here, among many other great names in music.
