The Story

This jazz club opened in 1970 in Studio City, founded by pianist Don Randi, one of the first studio musicians known as The Wrecking Crew. It is the oldest continuously operating jazz club in Los Angeles. In 1981, guitarist Steve Lukather took over for Larry Carlton in the Greg Mathieson Project, shortly before recording Rosanna and Africa with Toto. The show was recorded on the album Baked Potato Super Live. Steve Lukather still returns to the same stage with his band Nerve Bundle, usually around Christmas. Still active.
