The Story

The Maida Vale mews house where Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious lived with his American girlfriend Nancy Spungen in 1978. One of the most turbulent addresses in punk history. The couple's chaotic relationship played out here before their move to the Chelsea Hotel in New York, where Nancy was found dead in October 1978. Sid died of a heroin overdose four months later aged 21.
