Reichstag Bowie Concert

The Story

On June 6, 1987, Bowie performed for 70,000 people in front of the Reichstag in West Berlin. Thousands of people from East Berlin gathered on the other side of the wall to listen to the show. A week later, Ronald Reagan gave his "Tear Down This Wall" speech at the Brandenburg Gate. Two years later, the Wall fell. Bowie said that this show was one of the most emotional experiences of his life.
