The Story

A former triangular supermarket located in Ballard, where Jack Endino recorded Nirvana's first demo on January 23, 1988. Endino asked to keep a copy and handed it over to Sub Pop. This tape was directly responsible for the release of "Bleach", the band's first album, and the new direction of history that followed. Soundgarden, Mudhoney, TAD, and Green River recorded here. The building still functions as a studio under the name Hall of Justice.
