The Story

The house in Aberdeen where Cobain spent his childhood and adolescence. Designated a Washington State Heritage Site in 2021, with plans for a museum. It's a private residence today. The city's welcome sign quotes Come As You Are. Aberdeen took decades to acknowledge its most famous son. When Nevermind came out in 1991, there was no celebration.
