Quadra da Viradouro

The Story

Founded on June 24, 1946, in Niterói, by Nelson dos Santos, who organized samba gatherings in his backyard in the Viradouro neighborhood. It paraded in Niterói for almost four decades, winning 18 local titles before crossing Guanabara Bay to the Special Group of Rio in 1991, where it immediately won three titles. The samba school's hall is located in Niterói, in the Barreto neighborhood.
