Quadra da Paraíso do Tuiuti

The Story

The School was founded on April 5, 1954, on Morro do Tuiuti, in São Cristóvão. The school spent decades in anonymity until, in 2018, it put on one of the most spectacular parades in history with the samba-enredo "Meu Deus, Meu Deus, Está Extinta a Escravidão?" (My God, My God, Is Slavery Extinct?). The quadra (headquarters/practice court) is located at Rua Caieiras, 2, right in front of the famous São Cristóvão Fair. The School is building a new quadra that will be located at Rua Carneiro de Campos, number 31, in the São Cristóvão neighborhood.
