The cover of Illmatic, one of the greatest Rap albums in history, was photographed by Danny Clinch at the corner of 10th Street and 41st Avenue, in the Queensbridge Houses in Queens, where Nas grew up. The final artwork, created by Aimee Macauley, superimposes a photo of Nas at seven years old over the image of the project's brick buildings.
