Carmen Miranda
· 1976
The Carmen Miranda Museum is housed in a circular structure within Flamengo Park, designed by modernist architect Affonso Eduardo Reidy. It was inaugurated in 1976 by Aloysio de Oliveira, to preserve the collection donated by her family after her death. There are over 3500 items, such as her fruit turbans, the dress from her Broadway debut in 1939, the outfit from the day she left her mark on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the costume from her last show.
