The bar where Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes regularly drank and, seeing a teenage girl named Heloísa Pinheiro pass by every day, wrote "Garota de Ipanema" (The Girl from Ipanema). Originally named Veloso, the bar was renamed in honor of the song that made it famous. The street was renamed Vinícius de Moraes.
