The Story

The cover art for Send Away the Tigers was photographed on Shore Parkway in Brooklyn, with the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and the Manhattan skyline in the background. The image was not specifically taken for the album. Manic Street Preachers chose the photo from a book by American photographer Valerie Phillips, which depicts two girls dressed as a fairy and an angel on Halloween. The album, released after a hiatus, was considered a triumphant return for the band.
