The Story
The current Madison Square Garden at Penn Station has been home to New York's biggest rock shows since 1968. Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Billy Joel, and Bruce Springsteen have all played historic shows here. Billy Joel holds two venue records: most consecutive performances by an artist (104 shows, during his monthly residency between 2014 and 2024) and most lifetime performances by an artist (150 shows, since his debut there in 1978).
