The Story

The buildings at 96 and 98 St. Mark's Place are the setting for Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti. Designer Peter Corriston removed the 4th floor so that they would fit the square format. The Rolling Stones also filmed 'Waiting on a Friend' on these same steps in 1981.
