The Story

On 7 March 2015, Liverpool progressive rock band Anathema played an acoustic homecoming show here that sold out immediately, remarkable for a band that, as the lead singer Vincent Cavanagh noted, had rarely played their own city. The concert was filmed by Lasse Hoile and released as A Sort of Homecoming Bluray and as an live album. Vincent Cavanagh later recalled that the very first record he ever played, aged three, was I Want to Hold Your Hand, the Beatles brought him to music, and music brought him back to Liverpool.
