The Beatles, Ringo Starr
1962
The Beatles played here four times in 1962. On August 18th, they took the stage for the first time with their definitive lineup, with Ringo Starr debuting days after Pete Best's dismissal. The official capacity of the hall was 450 people, but demand was so high that they fit in 500 people. Today, Hulme Hall remains active as a venue for weddings, events, and exhibitions, with a plaque marking the spot as the official debut stage for the four Beatles.
