The Story

At this steep hillside at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, number 165, was Tim Maia's rehearsal shed starting in the mid-70s. It was there, in 1974, that the name Banda Vitória Régia was born, christened in homage to the address itself. The band accompanied the singer until his death in 1998, and remains active to this day, keeping alive the musical legacy of the greatest name in Brazilian soul music.
