Joey Ramone, The Ramones

Lead singer and co-founder of the Ramones, the Queens punk band that created punk rock. Born Jeffrey Hyman in Forest Hills, Joey died of lymphoma on 15 April 2001, aged 49. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. His grave bears his real name Jeffrey Hyman and is a constant pilgrimage site for punk fans.
