The Ramones

The loft of Arturo Vega, artist, designer and the unofficial fifth Ramone, at 6 East 2nd Street, directly around the corner from CBGB, was the Ramones' creative headquarters. Vega designed the presidential eagle logo that became one of the most recognizable symbols in rock history. Both Joey and Dee Dee briefly lived here. Vega lived in the apartment until his death in 2013.
