Jim Morrison, The Doors
1968–1970
The budget motel on La Cienega Blvd where Jim Morrison lived in room 32, between 1968 and 1970, while the band recorded their last albums, including L.A. Woman. Morrison would take refuge there whenever he fought with his girlfriend Pamela Courson. The motel closed in 2021 and remains closed to this day, but room 32 continues to be a symbolic pilgrimage site for fans, even without physical access at the moment.
