Opened in 1940 with a Tommy Dorsey show, the Palladium was one of Hollywood's most glamorous venues in the 1940s and 1950s. Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, and Lawrence Welk played here regularly. It later hosted Nirvana, Radiohead, and Depeche Mode.
