The Story

English Heritage Blue Plaque on the semi-detached house in Feltham, where Freddie Mercury, born Farrokh Bulsara in Zanzibar, lived with his family from October 1964, after fleeing the Zanzibar revolution. The house is where he attended Isleworth Polytechnic and began to develop the musical talents that would make him one of the greatest artists in rock history, listening to Cream and his idol Jimi Hendrix in his back bedroom.
