The downtown building where Milton Nascimento, recently arrived from Três Pontas, met the Borges family in 1963, while their house in Santa Tereza was being renovated. The friendship that began with an encounter on the stairs of this building evolved into the Clube da Esquina. The building still stands on Avenida Amazonas.
