The front and back covers of Desperado were photographed at Paramount Ranch, a Western movie set in Agoura Hills used in dozens of films and TV series since the 1920s. The Eagles posed as a Wild West gang. The ranch was managed by the National Park Service until 2018, when a fire destroyed many of its structures. The famous Western Town in the photo above was lost during the 2018 Woolsey Fire, consisted of historic buildings from the Paramount Era
