Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Conrad Schnitzler, Ash Ra Tempel
· 1967
A short-lived experimental club in Schöneberg that was the founding site of the Berlin School of electronic music and German krautrock. Edgar Froese used it as a laboratory for what would become Tangerine Dream. Klaus Schulze and Conrad Schnitzler also emerged from this space. Shows had no fixed end time and the performances, light projections and improvisation were with complete freedom. The Zodiak closed in 1969. The building no longer exists.
