Queen, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Adele, Taylor Swift
1923
Opened on April 28, 1923, as the temple of English football, Wembley Stadium also became one of rock's greatest stages starting in 1972, with the London Rock and Roll Show. Queen (1986), Michael Jackson (1988), and the Rolling Stones (1990) all played there, but the most memorable show remains Live Aid in 1985, with Freddie Mercury stealing the spotlight in front of 72,000 people. The original stadium was demolished in 2003, and a new Wembley was built on the same site and reopened in 2007, now hosting names like Adele, Taylor Swift, and Ed Sheeran. The stadium tour, focused on football, still displays photos of these historic concerts.
