The Story

This house on a Brixton street is where David Bowie spent his childhood, after being born nearby on January 8, 1947. The house is close to the famous Bowie mural on Tunstall Road, which became a public shrine after his death in January 2016. Bowie will not be eligible for an English Heritage Blue Plaque until 2036.
