The Story
The mural painted by Australian street artist Jimmy C on Tunstall Road in Brixton became the focal point for an enormous public outpouring of grief after Bowie's death in January 2016. Brixton is where David Robert Jones was born in 1947 and grew up. Bowie cannot receive an English Heritage Blue Plaque until 2036.
