The Story
On March 27, 1987, U2 climbed onto the roof of a building at the corner of 7th and Main Street, in the notorious Skid Row in Downtown LA, to film the music video for "Where the Streets Have No Name." About a thousand people stopped on the sidewalk, traffic became chaotic, and the LA police ordered everything to stop. Another famous rooftop concert in rock history.
