A theater that opened in 1922 as a stage and movie house. Bill Graham transformed it into a rock venue in 1979 by booking Bob Dylan for a two-week residency. Green Day played American Idiot front-to-back here in 2005. Grateful Dead, The Breeders, Guns N' Roses, and Slayer have graced this stage. Still active.
