The Libertines Graffiti Alley

The Story

The alley, called Grove Passage, on the border between Bethnal Green and Hackney, was the location for the music video of Up the Bracket, from The Libertines' 2002 debut album. The music video became one of the most recognized British rock music videos of the 2000s. The alley still exists, now covered in layers of graffiti and messages left by fans of the band over more than two decades.
