The basement coffee house on MacDougal Street that was the epicenter of the 1960s folk revival. Bob Dylan, Dave Van Ronk and Phil Ochs all performed here in their formative years. The film Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) was largely set in and around the Gaslight. The building still stands but the venue closed in 1971.
