Bob Dylan Blonde on Blonde

Bob Dylan

1966

The Story

The cover was photographed by Jerry Schatzberg at 375 West Street, at the corner of Morton Street, in Greenwich Village. Bob Egan, from the PopSpots website, spent years searching for the exact location until, with the help of a reader who identified the spot from an archive photograph, he was able to confirm it. Bob even walked around New York with Schatzberg himself as part of a promotional video for Columbia Records, trying to identify the location. The original building has since been demolished. The marked coordinates indicate the most precise spot where Bob Dylan was at the time of the cover portrait of this classic album.
