The Story

The SESC Garagem Theater, located at 913 Sul, has been one of the main stages for alternative theater and rock performances in Brasília since its inauguration in 1979, built through a collective effort by the city's artists within an old garage. Still active today, it continues to host independent and experimental artists. It was very popular in the 90s and 2000s, revealing names such as Cássia Eller and Raimundos, as well as hosting cover band festivals and major launch performances by bands like Bois de Gerião and Móveis Coloniais de Acaju. It is an official stop on the Brasília Capital do Rock Route.
