Synth Museum

The Story

This brand-new museum occupies the former address of the legendary synthesizer store SchneidersLaden, which was founded by Andreas Schneider and was a pilgrimage site for musicians worldwide. It opened to the public on February 12, 2025, conceived by soundtrack composer Michael Soltau, with a pre-opening party the night before featuring a show by Thorsten Quaeschning of Tangerine Dream and musician Kurt Dahlke, known as Pyrolator. The exhibition features over 50 rare and vintage synthesizers, available for the public to interact with and experiment with all kinds of sounds. The exhibition is temporary, with future plans for the museum to gain a permanent address in Berlin.
