Rita Lee rented this townhouse in Vila Mariana in the 70s. The house became a meeting point for Brazilian rock music. Rita hosted Paulo Coelho and Os Novos Baianos. During the period when Os Mutantes were already beginning to disband, Rita was building the solo identity that would make her Brazil's rock icon. The external structure of the townhouse survived Vila Mariana's real estate speculation and today houses a local business.
