The Story
Rita Lee Jones was born on December 31, 1947, in São Paulo, and grew up in this house in Vila Mariana, a neighborhood she would later describe as holding some of the happiest moments of her life. She formed Os Mutantes in 1966 and became the most important woman in the history of Brazilian rock. She lived in São Paulo most of her life and passed away on May 8, 2023.
