The Beatles
1940
The terraced house in the working-class Dingle neighborhood where Ringo Starr was born on July 7, 1940. In 2010, the Liverpool City Council proposed demolishing the property. Ringo publicly opposed the plan, saying it only made sense to preserve his childhood home where it had always been. After years of dispute, the government canceled the demolition in 2015, and the house was restored as part of an award-winning project completed in 2024. Very close by, at 10 Admiral Grove, was also the house where Ringo lived for about 20 years before he became famous. Both locations are indicated on the App's map.
