The Story

This store opened in 1979 on Cornelia Street, founded by John Pita, and started as a neighborhood hangout. In 1984, it moved to Jones Street, the same street as the cover photo of The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, and today it has one of the largest collections of Madonna rarities in the world, alongside Michael Jackson and Duran Duran. It is still in business.
