Sasha Waltz & Guests, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin
1881
This building began operating in 1881 as one of Berlin's twelve sewage pumping stations and operated until 1999. In 2006, it reopened as Radialsystem, a cultural center dedicated to contemporary dance and experimental music. The venue became the permanent residence for groups such as Sasha Waltz & Guests and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin. It remains active, with a terrace facing the Spree river considered one of the city's best informal viewpoints.
