The Story

Pit Passarell was born Pedro Sérgio Murad Passarell in Buenos Aires on April 11, 1968, and moved with his family to São Paulo as a baby. Alongside his brother Yves and childhood friend and neighbor Felipe Machado, he founded Viper in 1985, starting as a bassist until taking over vocals in 1991 after Andre Matos left the band. His voice marked albums like "Evolution" and "Coma Rage." In addition to his work with Viper, he composed several hits for Capital Inicial, a band where Yves plays guitar, including "O Mundo," "Algum Dia," "Seus Olhos," and "Depois da Meia-Noite." In 2020, he released the solo album "Praticamente Nada," revisiting compositions made for Capital Inicial with his own voice. He passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 56, surrounded by his family. He is buried in the Cemitério do Araçá.
