Pato Fu, John Ulhoa
1992
This address housed one of the thirteen stops of Paco Pigalle's nomadic bar. Paco Pigalle is a French DJ who, since 1990, spread nights of French pop, oriental rock, gypsy groove, and afrobeat throughout Belo Horizonte. It was here, in 1992, that Pato Fu performed one of their first shows, even before the release of their debut album. Paco Pigalle arrived in Brazil in 1986, coming from Casablanca, and settled in the capital of Minas Gerais in 1989. The nomadic project moved through thirteen addresses until it settled, in 2003, on Avenida do Contorno, where the Paco Pigalle bar would become a nightlife institution for twenty years. Today, the location of Pato Fu's historic show houses an Orthopedic Institute.
