The Story

On November 6, 1994, the Parque de Exposições da Gameleira hosted the most important rock show in BH’s history. Sepultura and Ramones on the same night, with Overdose and Viper opening. It was the Acid Chaos Tour, combining Sepultura's Chaos A.D. and Ramones' Acid Eaters albums. Out of respect for the home band, the Ramones played first, letting Sepultura close the night. It was the first and only time the Ramones played in Belo Horizonte. CJ Ramone described the crowd as "one of the wildest I've ever seen." Joey Ramone called the venue a "dusty pasture." Max Cavalera would not perform in his hometown again for another 18 years, with Cavalera Conspiracy. It was the last show of Sepultura's classic lineup in BH. Two years later, Max left the band.
