1963–
The old Cine Palladium, opened in 1963 in front of the Saloon bar where members of the Clube da Esquina used to meet, hosted the 1st Brazilian Film Festival of Belo Horizonte in 1968. It definitively closed in 1999 and, after more than a decade of disuse, was transformed into the SESC Palladium cultural center, reopening in 2011. Today, it is one of Belo Horizonte's most important live music venues, hosting major national and international artists.
