The Story

Nick Cave arrived in Berlin in 1982 with The Birthday Party, but the band folded within months. Nick Cave stayed, met Blixa Bargeld of Einstürzende Neubauten, and co-founded The Bad Seeds. He lived for years in bassist Christoph Dreher's loft on Dresdener Straße in Kreuzberg, before moving to Brazil in 1990. Four Bad Seeds albums were recorded at Hansa Studios, just a few blocks away. The street is still residential. Private address.
