The Story

One of Europe's largest independent recording studios, housed in a 1901 power station building in Chiswick, originally built to power West London's trams. Queen's Innuendo, Amy Winehouse's Back to Black, produced by Mark Ronson, Adele's albums 21, 25, and 30, and Rihanna's Unapologetic were recorded here. It has also hosted U2, Lady Gaga, and Kendrick Lamar. The building's concrete and metal atrium, with angles designed to diffuse sound, is one of the most distinctive recording environments in the world. Still active.
