Amy Winehouse
1985–
Amy Winehouse first arrived here at 16, starting out working behind the bar. One day she asked to sing, and the owner Sam Shaker heard her perform "I Will Survive" drunk, but impressed, he hired her as an artist right there, saying she was a hundred times better than the professional singers he paid. The club's walls are covered with portraits of Amy, and parts of the album Back to Black were composed in the VIP room in the back.
